Fall Into Art River Garden Brattleboro VTWindham Child Care Association invites the community to attend its second annual benefit: Fall Into Art, which will be Friday, October 19th from 6-8 pm at the River Garden in downtown Brattleboro. This unique event showcases artwork by our area?s youngest artists alongside experienced adult artists. 100 works of art have been donated and framed. Along with the art show, attendees will enjoy hors d?oeuvres, homemade desserts, local cider, door prizes and music by guitarist Draa Hobbs.

There are two ticket options: $10 to view the art gallery or $35 to bring a piece home. What makes this benefit unique is how ticket-holders end up with their art. Unlike an auction where you get to bid on your favorites and unlike a typical raffle or drawing where you purchase a chance to win, all $35 ticket-holders will receive a work of art. However which one it is will be left to chance. Upon arrival, draw a number from a basket, then view the art gallery. Around 7 pm, we?ll reveal the artworks? corresponding numbers. Locate the number and the art is yours to take home! The event is fun, family-friendly, and all proceeds go towards supporting young children and families in our community.

At Fall Into Art, we?ll also present our Award for Exemplary Service in Early Childhood Education to four recently retired educators.? This year?s recipients are: Sue Clarke, Cilda Dorner, Claire Nelson and Carol Lynch. ?These four women have been providing care to our area?s young children for a combined total of 145 years! It?s incredible to imagine the number of families they?ve touched during their careers,? said Executive Director Elizabeth Raposa. ?Their commitment to children and dedication to the profession is inspiring. We are honored to recognize their great work.?
