The Business Development Senior Sales Manager role is responsible for leading a team of Sales Managers accountable for developing a pipeline of Affinity prospects and collaborating across the organization to ensure the successful execution of the overall Business Development strategy.

This role is instrumental in the creation and management of the Business Development sales team for the Affinity Solutions business unit. This role has responsibility for the day-to-day management of a team of Sales Managers. This role will partner with the Business Development Analyst and Process Managers to ensure that potential deals are moving through the pipeline and acquire the necessary support from the organization to ensure the successful completion of business unit goals. This role will also be responsible for aligning with the Business Development Director on the overall business unit strategy, developing an operational business plan budget, goal setting and expense monitoring.

- Recruits, interviews and makes personnel recommendations to the Affinity Business Development Director regarding team talent and skills as needed

- Train, assist, and guide Sales manager team in pursuit of goal achievement

- Provides frequent and clear performance feedback to ensure the continual development of direct reports

- Continually assess business performance of Sales Managers to ensure performance is aligned with business unit goals

- Responsible for meeting and adhering to all performance management practices for a team

- Supports and executes performance management and development plans for direct reports

- Participates in and provides input for succession planning

- Actively involved in talent development for department

? - Understands corporate and business unit priorities and develop team vision to ensure that sales team initiatives and priorities are in line with the overall strategic business objectives

- Communicate with, guide and direct each Sales Manager in their efforts to attain/maintain positive customer relations, sales goals, and compliance with Allstate policies/procedures and the program?s objectives

- Aligns team leaders behind team vision to secure appropriate resources to capitalize on business development opportunities

- Influences, advocates and collaborates with team to achieve business results

- Provides frequent guidance and direction in order to engage, inspire and motivate employees

- Actively assesses, monitors and develops bench strength for department

- Adapts to change and facilitates team?s adoption of change

- Actively seeks to connect resources across department to share expertise as appropriate

- Leads team to fully meet and/or exceed key sales targets; number of deals closed, growth expectation, quality of the deal

? - Develops and foster relationships across department functions

- Develops and implement ideas that have departmental impacts

- Creates and presents business cases and influences others to take recommended actions

- Analyzes diverse and complex situations to determine solutions, alternatives or guidance

- Encourages risk taking and a test and learn environment to foster innovation

- Continually evaluates rationale behind process or practice to determine effectiveness and opportunity

- Achieves results on initiatives that contribute to growth and profit goals

- Advanced written and oral communication skills and presentation skills
