Having a player who is eligible for multiple positions can only help you in fantasy baseball.
It allows you to have flexibility with your lineup and gives you space to add pieces here and there while still maintaining a high level of production at each position.
Here are five players eligible for multiple positions who are worth nabbing in your fantasy drafts.

5. Joe Mauer, C/1B, Minnesota Twins
When Joe Mauer stays on the field, he's one of the best hitters in the game.?Of course, he has to stay on the field.
Mauer surprisingly played in 147 games for the Twins last season, batting .319 with 85 RBI and 81 runs.?On the other hand, he's a 29-year-old catcher with a history of injuries.
It's not realistic to expect Mauer to play a full season, but his ADP (average draft position) is relatively low compared to what he can do when he's on the field. He's worth a gamble at the catcher position considering only three catchers (Mauer, Buster Posey and Yadier Molina) hit over .300 last season.

4. Ben Zobrist, OF/2B/SS, Tampa Bay Rays
Ben Zobrist had a career year in 2012, hitting .270 with 20 home runs, 74 RBI, 88 runs and 14 stolen bases.?
The 31-year-old hit .292 after the All-Star break in 2012 and he's eligible at second base, shortstop and outfield.

3. Allen Craig, 1B/OF, St. Louis Cardinals
Allen Craig has been turning heads ever since 2011, when he hit .315 with 11 home runs, 40 RBI and 33 runs in 200 at-bats for the Cardinals.
Last season, Craig had a career year, batting .307 with 22 home runs, 92 RBI and 76 runs. On top of that, he was consistent, batting over .300 before and after the All-Star break.

2. Hanley Ramirez, 3B/SS, Los Angeles Dodgers
After a rough 2011 campaign, Hanley Ramirez didn't play much better for the Marlins in 2012.
But after being dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers before the trade deadline, the three-time All-Star got in a groove, hitting .282 with seven home runs, 26 RBI and 15 runs in August.
Ramirez's eligibility as a shortstop makes him valuable in 2013 if he can get back on track.

1. Buster Posey, C/1B, San Francisco Giants
In Buster Posey's rookie season, he won the National League Rookie of the Year. After a freak collision derailed his sophomore campaign in 2011, he bounced back in tremendous fashion, earning the NL Comeback Player of the Year award, as well as being named the 2012 NL MVP.
As the MLB batting champion last season, Posey hit .336 with 24 home runs, 103 RBI and 78 runs.
